Has anyone used Espoma's Soil Perfector which is an expanded slate aggregate as the only ingredient in their medium for orchid culture? The bag states use as a 100% medium for orchids. I know it has been recommended as an ingredient for Cypripediums. Thanks

Thanks Paphluvr. Unfortunately the 2nd developing bud (and the third) were just coming out of the first flowers bract and broke off at their base. I'm trying to be optimistic but we'll see if something develops (or not).

Fantastic.....but how come mine doesn't bloom like that? I've had mine for 8 years and probably has more growths then the one in the photo. It's only bloomed 4 times. I've heard that this species produces a lot more growths then flowers, so is this a species trait or a clonal thing?
