Had a suspicion yesterday when I could see the bud with daylight shining through it. Was growing this out to see if the quality of the bloom would be good... um.

Just beginning to open up. Spotted pouch and dark coloring. Looks like I will need a pale/pink form. At least 4 new growths so hoping next bloom will have multiple spikes.

I believe there was some moisture on the bloom while it was forming. I like the color and flattening out nicely on the good side. I am hoping the next bloom is not messed up. If next bloom is bad I will cut the spike and give the plant a much needed repot.
