    Thanks. It is blooming on a very small plant so it is difficult to imagine this flower reaching those dimensions, but maybe there is potential for it to get back there.

    Parentage is unknown, but I don't disagree. The AM is from 2001, so it's possible.

    Yes Charles E is quite slow growing and takes a long time to flower. It was over 10 years to rebloom from when I first purchased it in spike. 'Borneo' by comparison is a more vigorous grower and much easier to bloom.

    For a 2 week duration, sitting in a tray of water should be fine. I would not let Phals, Catts, or other virus-prone genera to sit in the same water source however.
