I got into orchids at 10 years old (like, really obsessed), and after a brief lull started rescuing family members' plants as a teen. Mostly NOID phals, they thrived on my marginal care and I started to feel like an orchid whisperer, so I got into other types of orchids and became humble (and obsessed) again.
I have a small collection now, as my family, pets and plants are all living in a 32 foot camper travelling the country for my husband's job. We stay 3 months to one year in each place that we go. I have a toddler, a cat, a dog, and 9 orchids.
