Hi,

a first flowering small seedling and a really nice thing it is. It just needs about three years to reach a decent size.
The flower is about 6 inches across and still growing. No scent.
The plant originated at Ching Hua and I bought it from germany, probably Lucke.
The lead bulb is only about 4 inches high so I was surprised at the size and form of this flower.
the lip is redder than shown - a rich royal purple and I like the flashes on the end of each petal.

whole plant shot

A photo of the whole plant showing the outsize flower!
The colour of the lip illuminated by the kitchen hob lights is now correct,
David
