The recent delenatii thread made me curious about what it is like to be an official rescue center. I'd love to hear about how all of this works. The process, how you become one, what happens afterwards? How many are there in the US? Is it genera specific?

Mr. Wellenstein, since Antec is a rescue center, might you be willing to tell us a little about your experiences, perhaps?
Thank you!

Heather

From the 'malipoense x vietnamense' thread:

"The plants were placed in a rescue center which allowed us to work with them, but they as required by law stayed at the rescue center. Only capsules and pollen were removed."

That's not to say that they don't receive rescued plants... I just interpreted Mr. W's reply to mean that the plants cannot leave the actual rescue center.

i've wanted to try to get this place as a prc. seems like it'd be a lot of paperwork and i don't think i'm a good enough grower, yet to not kill the rescue-es...
