I'm so sorry, The cattleya has one leaf on each of the four canes. I mentioned how big it is because of how heavy it is. It is going to be difficult because when it drys out, it wants to fall out of the pot.
This company is an international company. It's obvious which is the cattleya but the two phrags look the same, same size, same look and on the bags it was printed Hibrida. I ordered Eumelia Arias and Hanne Popow. So I will just wait until they bloom. But guess what? There were two seperate...
The cattleya is about two feet long and came bare rooted. So I soaked it for about 30 minutes in cal-mag and kelp and planted it in a pot just bit enough to fit the root ball.
I ordered two phrags and a cattleya and they arrived without tags. It is kind of difficult to figure out their care without knowing what they are. Has this happened to anyone else?
Wow wow! I would just like to add....After much research, I decided to soak it in some warmish RO water, with a little wee bit of cal-mag and sea kelp and found that it has an amazing amount of good roots on it. I will let it soak and then pot it up in bark in a small pot. Hope this is all the...
Thanks for the help. Apparently, it has eleven cattleyas in its parentage with dowiana and trinanae as the biggest amount. If I can get it to survive until spring, I might have a good plant.
I ordered some plants from Equagenera at the beginning of Aug. I ordered two phrags and this cattleya. I wasn't real sure about the delivery date but certainly didn't know it would be Oct 1.This plant is about two feet high and bare root. I grow basically on the windowsill. Can I get some advise...
Thanks for the information. I have already received a store credit and have been allowed to keep the said plant. I will send for Kelpak from C and C orchids but thanks very much for the offer. Your reply is much appreciated. I know a bit about paphs, having grown p Insigne and p gratrixianum...
I ordered two paphs here where I live. One was paph Moquettianum. Unfortunately it arrived without any viable roots. Can anyone tell me what to do with it. I woudl appreciate any information.
Because of health problems, I stopped growing orchids from 2019 to the beginning of 2023. I only grew paph Insigne, paph gratrixianum and a hybrid paph primulinum by paph Green Ruffles.. All of them I purchased in 2001. The only one that is alive is the primulinum. It was on its last legs when...
